HYDRATED LIME

Hydrated lime is chemically known as calcium hydroxide, calcium hydrate or caustic lime. Treating quick lime with water produces it. It is white in colour and marketed in dry powder form. Hydrated lime is used in agriculture to make the soil alkaline. Besides it find its application in the field of construction work such as plaster, cement lime paints, white wash etc.

Hydrated Lime is a dry powder obtained by hydrating Quick Lime with enough water to satisfy its chemical affinity, forming a hydroxide due to its chemically combined water. The exothermic or released heat of reaction is captured and used to evaporate the excess slaking water
